Casualties of doom
Step out the gloom
Have you not seen?
Green leaves are falling
The blue sea turns red
Red, gold and green it was the national flag
Today in pool of blood it is drugged
It can fly not high again
Motherland is in pain
With zeal every day, you recites repeatedly,
The call to resist oppressors’ rule.
Should I call you a citizen?
Perhaps a terrorist
In crowd you match to fight,
Violently with might,
For they with shinning heads and fat chin,
That slumber peacefully at night.
Definitely not the course of freedom and of right
Could it be a spell?
I could not tell
They turn your lives a living hell
At the end, you will end in cell
With the press they gather,
To address issues that do not matter
Songs of war against our own people
An eye for an eye, we’ll go blind
A boot for boot, we’ll cripple
Songs of oppression and violence is their anthem
Now, like the crack of doom,
Stroke a common enemy.
Combating in ranks tactically.
Deploying its troops into our territory,
That could not be battled with the military
An enemy with no respecter of skin color
Political affiliation, language or level of education.
Is it not time for you as a citizen?
To perform your obligations,
Side by side without discrimination,
As pledged in high esteem,
Then together we can defeat the common enemy,
And build a strong economy.
Be not a political tool of destruction,
Rather a tool of development to this nation.
I pledge for peace…
