“Abu Trica finally granted bail but “

Abu Trica has been granted bail by the High Court as he continues to fight extradition to the United States.

His lawyer, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, confirmed the development in a brief Facebook post on April 21, 2026, writing: “The High Court has just granted bail to Abu Trica. Shalom.”

Abu Trica, a Ghanaian social media personality and businessman based in Swedru, was arrested on December 11, 2025, in a joint operation involving Ghanaian authorities and US law enforcement.

He is accused of being linked to an international cybercrìme network behind r0mance scàms targeting elderly vìctims in the US, with investigators claiming l0sses of over $8 million.

The indictment also all3ges the use of fake identities and AI tools to deceìve victims before requesting money.

He faces charges including c0nspiracy to c0mmìt wire fràud and money làundering, 0ffences that could carry up to 20 years in pris0n if proven in a US court.

Following his arrest, he was arraigned at the Gbese District Court in Accra as extradition proceedings began at the request of US authorities.

Two other suspects initially linked to the case, Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo, were later cleared after prosecutors said no evidence was found against them. Their removal became part of the defence argument, which also included attempts to block the extradition through High Court applications

Damang to get airport in six months – Ibrahim Mahama says, also promises roads and astroturfs after Damang Mine takeover

Ibrahim Mahama has outlined plans to invest in infrastructure within communities around the Damang Mine following his company’s takeover of its operations.

His remarks came after the official handover of the mine, which ushers in a new phase under Engineers and Planners.

Speaking after the ceremony, he said the company is already reviewing proposals from residents, including requests for sports facilities.

“I want to pledge this, and I want to say it for everybody to hear. I got a text from one of our young men in here.

"It says we should build astroturfs for all the communities, which we’re looking to do,” he stated.

He also highlighted plans to improve transport access in the area, pointing to an airport project and road development.

“We’ve applied for Damang to have an airport, and within six months, Damang will have an airport, such that we can fly to Accra easily.

In the next two years, we’ll be able to drive from here to Cape Coast on a concrete road or a natural road,” he added.

I'm the real father of the child, not Kwaku Gyasi - Man tells Sompa FM's Oheneni

A man named Hope Quashie has told Sompa FM that he is the father of the child that Hope Quashie had previously accused gospel musician Kwaku Gyasi of being the father.

In his words, he once married to Hannah Charlotte Forson in 2014, but the relationship later ended due to circumstances he did not fully explain.

Reacting to earlier claims involving his ex-wife and suggestions about her personal state, he replied by saying, “I will not say she has mental issues because I think she knows what she is doing. She has a very bad character.”

He also expressed disappointment after hearing allegations that his former wife had associated the child with Kwaku Gyasi.

Hope Quashie further stated on the show hosted by Oheneni Adazoa that he intends to take full custody of his children, adding that he is concerned about what his ex-wife might do next.

This development follows earlier claims made on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, when Hannah Charlotte Forson appeared on the “Sompa Nkomo” programme.

She alleged that she had a brief romantic encounter with Kwaku Gyasi about 10 years ago, which she said resulted in a pregnancy after what she described as a one-night stand.

She further explained that she later tried to locate the musician without success. According to her, even efforts involving her father to reach Kwaku Gyasi and seek responsibility did not yield any outcome.

🇬🇭 Dr. Beckley — The Name That Haunted Accra in the 90s 💯

For many who grew up in Accra during the 1990s, one name still sends chills down the spine — Sri Yogi Ram Beckley.

Widely known as Dr. Beckley, he was believed to be a spiritualist and founder of the Ascended Masters Teachings. But beyond that, his name became synonymous with fear, mystery, and disturbing rumors across the capital.

From New Fadama to New Gbawe and later Sowutuom, stories followed him everywhere. Residents whispered about ritual practices, kidnappings, and strange spiritual activities, with many claiming he lured victims — especially young girls and traders — under false pretenses.

One of the most talked-about incidents was a 1994 police raid at his Fadama residence, where reports claimed items like school uniforms and human skulls were discovered — a moment that intensified public panic.

Years later, in 2002, he was again arrested following an alleged abduction involving two teenage girls, one of whom reportedly escaped and alerted authorities. He was detained at the historic James Fort Prison, facing serious allegations, though parts of the case remained unclear and heavily debated.

Despite the weight of these accusations, many details of his story remain blurred between fact and rumor — leaving Ghanaians divided on what truly happened.

Dr. Beckley eventually faded from public attention and reportedly passed away around 2011–2012, with claims that he was buried quietly in an unknown location.

Takeaway:
His story remains one of Ghana’s most haunting — a mix of fear, mystery, and unanswered questions that still lives on in street conversations today.

What do you remember about Dr. Beckley?
