It is with regret and sadness that we have to announce the closure of the Coach-house Gallery on 31 December when we will cease trading. The gallery was established in 1975 and move to its present location in 1979 after lovingly restoring of old farmhouses
by the then founder members Barry Owen Jones, Sheila Lintell and Maria Whinney as well as Rodney Brache.
I would like to personally thank all the artists who have exhibited their lovely work at the gallery.
A special thank you to Jeremy Paul for his understanding. We postponed his exhibition from September to November to give Peter le Vasseur the opportunity to exhibit his work in September to coincide with the launch of the book by Jason Monaghan about Peter's life and paintings. In the end Jeremy's exhibition had been cancelled. Jeremey has shown his work at the gallery now for more than 20 years.
We would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to to local artists Elizabeth Adams who has extended her October exhibition into November and also Tim Babbe whose pit fired pots will be in December during this difficult time for closure.

We are truly sorry not to be able to show Jeremy's exquisite works. It is with a very heavy heart that we are closing the gallery. Jeremy is a globally acclaimed wildlife artist and has had more than 20 solo exhibitions at the Coach-house Gallery. I have exhibited at The Coach House Gallery, Guernsey for the past 20 years and my next exhibition was due to open this weekend.
Sadly, the gallery's owner, Rodney Brache died a few weeks ago and I heard today that the gallery will not re-open.
Rodney was a pleasure to deal with over the years - a real gentleman - which is why I continued to have exhibitions there, even though it is not the easiest place to get to from the Isle of Man.
The end of an era.
This means that I have a collection of new paintings which were all ready to be shipped to Guernsey. They are now on my website - so contact me if they are of any interest.

The Bear Truth about Goldilocks, is a story of love and friendship of antagonistic groups – humans and bears. It promotes an open mind and tolerance. Both children and adults will find it easy to relate to the characters of this familiar tale with an unexpected ending.
Today Baby Bear and Goldilocks decide to tell their parents about their new friendship.
Although humans and bears avoid each other, both Mama Bear and Mum decided they would like to meet each other.

The Kingdom of Deep Sleep, explores the Spirit World and brings useful guidance for our everyday life. The story was provided by an author and spiritual astrologer, Sharon Ward. It is a tale of a little boy whose Grandma died, but one night she visits to take him on an enchanted tour of the otherwise invisible world. The book explores questions for bereaved children that adults often find difficult to answer.
Today’s episode
Oliver asks his Grandmother where she lives now. And if she sees Grandpa. She replies not always, they are busy in heaven and there is also lots of fun in heaven.
Grandma took him flying with her.

Today we look how the story unfolds
Oliver woke to the sound of tinkling bells. Grandma’s earrings used to make that sound. The room smelled like lavender . He sensed someone.
That sounded like grandma. It couldn’t be! Dead people do not return for visits. “I don’t want you to be sad anymore, so I came back to give you a hug.”
