On August 31, the French director and screenwriter Nicolas Kerszenbaum will visit the residence of the Tbilisi Writers' House. During his residency, he will study the reflections of Georgian-Abkhazian relations from representatives of different generations, including IDPs living in the regions of Georgia. The author's goal is to collect oral histories, listen to the experiences of eyewitnesses, and bring to the stage of a Parisian theater a history told through tangible, living narratives. Within the framework of the visit, he will meet with representatives of Georgian literary and academic circles. A series of workshops with Georgian writers, screenwriters and dramatists is planned, which will promote cooperation between the two countries in the future. Also, the Writers' House provides a special creative evening, within the framework of which any person interested in modern European literature will have the opportunity to get to know the guest better as one of the leading playwrights of our time.

Nicholas Kerzenbaum is the founder of the theater group franchemment, tu (2005), within which he is the author of about 20 works.
His latest collaborations are related to the Hong Kong "French May" festival, which included the play "Good Fortune" (2023), about Chinese fortune-tellers; Adapting Conrad's "The Heart of the Dead" and moving the action to "Captive of the Night", his four-act play "Cairo" won the Villa Médicis Hors les Murs award from the French creative association.
A Thai Mirror, created in collaboration with Thai theater company B-floor, received the award for the best Thai play of the year, and his Persephone (2022) is mainly presented in closed screenings. Among his other works is A Beautiful Stranger, a play for La Poudrerie – le Théâtre des Habitants, inspired by the myth of Medea.
