Please join us for a screening and presentation of ‘ერთი სკამი/One Chair’ by Rooms Studio and Cross Cultural Chairs on Monday, December 15th at 19:00.

Rooms Studio, together with Matteo Guarnaccia from Cross Cultural Chairs, collaborated over the course of four weeks to explore how Georgian culture might be distilled into a single chair. Rather than focusing solely on design parameters, the project adopted an anthropological lens during the research and production phases. One week was dedicated to research, one to design, one to making, and one to communication. Through this rhythm, a long series of conversations and observations were ultimately translated into a chair.

The presentation can be viewed during the week, between December 15 - 22, 2025 by appointment.

 

შემოგვიერთდით პროექტი ‘ერთი სკამი-ს’ პრეზენტაციაზე ამ ორშაბათს, 15 დეკემბერს, 19:00 საათზე. 

Rooms Studio მატეო გუარნაჩასთან ერთად (Cross Cultural Chairs) ოთხი კვირის მანძილზე მუშაობდა კითხვაზე, თუროგორ შეიძლება ქართული კულტურა ერთი სკამის სახითიყოს გააზრებული. პროექტი დიზაინის პარამეტრებზე არშეჩერებულა – კვლევისა და წარმოების პროცესშიანთროპოლოგიური მეთოდოლოგია იქნა შემუშავებული. ერთი კვირა მიეძღვნა კვლევას, ერთი დიზაინს, ერთიწარმოებას და ერთი კომუნიკაციას. ამ რიტმის მეშვეობით, მრავალი საუბრისა და დაკვირვების სერია საბოლოოდერთი სკამის კონცეფციაში იქნა გადატანილი.

ნამუშევრის ნახვა შესაძლებელია ერთი კვირის განმავლობაში 22 დეკემბრის ჩათვლით წინასწარი შეთანხმებით.

Please join us for a short presentation to meet Julie Béna! Followed by drinks and social gathering at 19:00, August 25th, 2025.

Julie Béna (b. 1982, Paris, France) lives and works between Prague and Paris. She is a graduate of the Villa Arson in Nice and attended the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. In 2012-2013, she was part of the Pavillon, the artistic research laboratory at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. In 2018, she was nominated for the Prix AWARE.

Composed of sculptures, installations, films, and performances, Julie Béna’s work often seems to float in an infinite void, unfolding against a fictional backdrop where anything is possible. In recent years, she has developed a range of personal cosmologies that feature seemingly mundane characters and objects having enigmatic conversations and interactions with one another. Julie Béna gives her characters a singular agency and voice, defining them by what they are not.

ჟული ბენა ( დაბ. 1982, პარიზი, საფრანგეთი) ცხოვრობს და მუშაობს პრაღასა და პარიზშ შორის. ის არის ნიცაში, ვილა არსონის და ამსტერდამის, გერრით რითფელდის აკადემიის კურსდამთავრებული. 2012-2013 წ.წ. პალე დე ტოკიოს სახელოვნებო კვლევით ლაბორატორიის „პავილიონის“ ნაწილი იყო. 2018 წ. იგი AWARE პრიზის ნომინანტი იყო.

სკულპტურების, ინსტალაციების, ფილმების და პერფორმანსებისგან შედგება ბენას პრაქტიკა, რომელიც ხშირად დაუმთავრებელ სივრცეში ტივტივებს, ფიქტიურ ფონზე, სადაც ყველაფერია შესაძლებელი. ბოლო წლებში მან პირად კოსმოლოგიებს მიაკვლია, სადაც შედარებით ყოველდღიურ პერსონაჟებს და ობიექტებს ერთმანეთთან ენიგმატური საუბრები და ინტერაქციები აქვთ. ჟული ბენა საკუთარ პერსონაჟებს აძლევს ხმას და განსაზღვრავს მათ, იმით, რითიც ისინი სხვა დროს არ ხასიათდებიან.
