Anna and Christina, both in their early teens, were selected for a very special prize this summer: TWO WEEKS OF INTENSIVE DAILY VOCAL LESSONS IN YEREVAN with our vocal specialist Hermine Gevorgyan.
Starting today, for the next two weeks, apart from their daily lessons and practice time, they will be going to concerts, art galleries, and museums; we will make sure they get the most out of this opportunity indeed!
Christina from Vernashen in Vayots Dzor (Armenia), also an Atken Armenian Foundation Fellow, takes biweekly lessons with our specialist Maro Simonyan in Yegheknadzor and is a soloist in the prize-winning AAF Children's Choir - Vayots Dzor.
Anna, from the town of Ninotsminda, in Javaghk (Georgia) is an Atken Armenian Foundation Fellow in the AAF Vocal Training Program since January. She comes to Yerevan regularly for extended times to study with Hermine. She is the winner of several prizes including a recent one in Italy and will return there next month for two weeks to benefit from the prize she won last May (2 weeks of Masterclasses with internationally renowned soprano Nino Lezhava at the Academy Tebaldi Del Monaco in Pesaro Italy, room & board included!)
Both girls have demonstrated an innate musical sense and are gifted with a beautiful voice. Both have demonstrated great talent, perseverance, and work ethic.
Congratulations and all the best to our two rising stars!
