Bentley kindly posed for me for this play about.. itā€™s just a random relaxed piece to try different things acrylics on linen, just working on building the layers.. 5 so far, maybe 2 more and I start on Aston.. good practice for sea movement with variations on calm seas & random shallow rocks & how the water would behave.. messing with brush spray, splattering and blotting to see what effects they giveā€¦

Iā€™m just saving up for some oils so this is a great exercise for me to doā€¦ with oils you donā€™t need to layer so Iā€™m looking forward to maybe a bit of an easier time?..

Iā€™ve already sorted out what my first subject will be & I can wait to get going!

Used masking fluid for the first time, a latex that covers the paper allowing you to paint over, then you can peel it off when youā€™re done..
I wanted to generate some random sparkles on this image plan for Bentley and Aston: Boat pups afloat book 3, of the 5-part childrenā€™s book series.

Luckily the computer program Iā€™m using to finish the art will recognise what Iā€™m trying to do.. loved it for the ripple effects around the dolphin but not so keen on the sparklesā€¦ need my canvas & acrylics.. hereā€™s the comparison from the other childrenā€™s book Iā€™m writing !!

Long time posting.. Iā€™ve taken my artwork into a new direction! ..inspired by my newest role as a Grandma šŸ’—& with the help of my pups Bentley & Aston !

Iā€™ve written a series of childrenā€™s books & illustrated them, and found the help of getting the artwork neatened for books with a computer ! Yep Iā€™ve got involved with technology šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£

Every book thatā€™s sold a percentage goes towards Carriacou Animal Hospital.
(Theyā€™ve been amazing to our island & to our Bentley)
