Our director, Martyn Hunter, recently caught up with Charles Hutchinson to talk all things Ladies’ Day, from the play and its connection to York, to bringing this brilliant story to the stage with MARMiTE Theatre.

Community theatre is all about doing something you love, bringing people together and creating something that everyone can enjoy. ❤️ There’s a lot of time, energy and passion that goes into putting a show like this together, so it’s lovely to have the opportunity to share a little bit of our story.

🐎 Jan is keeping a close eye on proceedings.
🐎 Linda is… well, Linda is probably wondering where Tony is! 😂
🐎 Shelley has her eye on the prize — fame, fortune and hopefully a man! 💃
🐎 The rest of the field are doing their very best to keep things on track…

There’s laughter in the stands, drama on the course and absolutely no guarantee that everyone will make it to the finish line without a little chaos!
