York Light Orchestra - YLO

York Light Orchestra - YLO York Light Orchestra established in 1947 is an amateur orchestra based in York. We perform up to six concerts a year for local charities and organisations.

We play light classical music along with selections from musicals and films. We don't hold auditions and accept anyone (subject to space) over the age of 16 who plays an orchestral instrument to grade 5 standard or above. There is a small subscription charge to members each year to pay the rent for our rehearsal room. Rehearsals Thurs 7.30-9.30pm
