Bringing a little festival energy to Friargate Theatre! 🎶

FolkLaw are one of the UK folk scene’s most exciting live acts, blending Celtic-folk rhythms and powerful vocal harmonies to create a show that’s guaranteed to get you dancing, singing and smiling.

Having performed across Europe and shared stages with the likes of Seth Lakeman and Show of Hands, now, they’re bringing their distinctive sound to Friargate Theatre for an evening of folk, fiddle and plenty of feel-good moments.

Watson is coming to Friargate Theatre this September.

It’s 1894. An old soldier with a few bruises and a cracking story to tell, Dr Watson is alone. His beloved wife Mary and his great friend Sherlock Holmes are gone.

But London is alive with false reports and Watson is determined to set the record straight. As he begins to unravel the story, one question remains... Is the game really over?

Performed by Tim Marriott (BBC’s Brittas Empire), this gripping one-man show promises mystery, intrigue and a fresh look at the man behind the legend.

The Riddlestick Theatre Company present... Barleycorn

A village soaked by rain. A pub on the brink of closing. A Harvest Show under threat. And as a wild storm rolls in, some begin to wonder if there's something far more sinister at work...

Barleycorn is a brand-new musical comedy inspired by English folklore, folk horror and the wonderfully weird world of 1970s television.

Blending traditional and original music, lively dance and plenty of laughs, this unique production celebrates community, folklore and the stories that have been passed down through generations.

Will the village pull together before the storm takes hold? Join us on 11 September at Friargate Theatre to find out.
