The York Ballroom and Latin Society (YBLS) is a society at the University of York providing lessons in Ballroom and Latin American dance. Lessons are for both students and non-students, taught by Joel Chapman, a professional teacher from the Rock Academy of Dance (York, UK). The society runs weekly lessons and practice sessions during university term time. The dances:

s fun, sociable and can be a great workout. You can dance for your own enjoyment and to compete at any level (beginners, novice, or intermediate). The dances taught are to an international syllabus, so you'll be getting some great, professional tuition. If you've ever watched Strictly Come Dancing, you get the idea! Quickstep

2. Jive
3. Samba
