I've been enjoying listening to these podcasts from the original Loaded writers, if you get a minute.

Shoot You Down (Stone Roses Cover). This song blew my mind as a teenager and it still does now. In Memory of Liam Blaney. RIP Mani. Long live Ian, John and Reni.
Thanks Sonny Leach, Duke Witter, Anthony Falkenburg for indulging me on Sunday afternoon.

Yes my drum kit is for sale online. No I'm not giving up music. No I've not fallen on hard times. ;)

Just watched this back from four minutes into it where we burst into The Stone Roses. Not wanting to blow my own trumptet too much, but if there were a list of drummers who can do Roses songs justice, surely I must come somewhere inbetween Reni and pretty much everyone else. ;) https://fb.watch/GbrL2n7Qfi/

Don't miss this lot at Shiiine On Skegness this weekend 10.15pm Saturday. I've invited myself up to do a few songs with them. Great band. I'm also hosting Music Bingo at 1pm on the Saturday and my 90s quiz at 11.30am on Sunday.

At first I thought it meant that picture was 17 years old. But that would mean I was in my 30s in the picture. If I try to smash out a side parting like that now I just look like Derek. Happy Going For Gold day brothers.

When I think the Shiiine On weekends can't get any better, they start doing them an hour and a half drive from my house in Skegness rather than the usual six hour drive I make to Minehead every year. Great lineup too.

So, I was lucky enough to get to chat to Ian Brown after Mani’s funeral last week and he was just as lovely as whenever I’ve met him before.

There was a moment though, as I was there talking to him and Simon from SJM, when the DJ stopped the music dead (possibly on purpose or maybe by mistake) and I had to use every ounce of power vested in me not to shout… AMATEURS!!

Another one who is cut from the same cloth as Mani is Clint Boon. From the day I first met him he’s treated me like a friend and never ceases to surprise with his generosity.

Sorry to get all gushy, but why always wait for people to croak before you say something nice about them.

I love this.

The first pic is Mani being full on Mani, posing with two girls at an Arctic Monkeys concert. The second one is the moment our Jeanie said to him… “I think you’re friends with my Dad, Alan from Shed Seven”.

Anyway, a few of us are heading over to help line the streets this morning and will no doubt stick around for a few drinks if anyone can recommend any good lively boozers. I’ll get a round in. I shouldn’t be hard to spot as I’ll be wearing a white Stone Roses t-shirt. ;)
