Mother's Ruin Gobbledegook Theatre Company presents newly written contemporary farce ''Mother's Ruin,'' due to start its 3 day run in York over 15th-17th January.

Opening night is upon us! We're so excited to show you what we've been up to. If you've reserved a ticket, it will be on the door ready for you, and you can still reserve tickets until 7:00pm by emailing [email protected].
There will also be some tickets available on the door.

So, the wonderfully, hilariously, chaotically, brilliant 'Mother's Ruin' opens tomorrow! (Upstage Centre, York, 7:30 - Doors, 7:00pm)But don't fear, if you haven't got your tickets yet there are two ways that you can do so:
Firstly, head on down to Vanbrugh stalls today where some of the cast and crew will be selling tickets between 12pm and 2pm (Tickets £8 general admission, £5 concession).
You can also reserve tickets by emailing our ticket hotline at [email protected] with your name(s) and desired night.

IMPORTANT! We are looking for 3 people to help us in the production side of Mother's Ruin.

* 2 set designers
* 1 production manager

YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE from 3rd January, but it may entail a little work over the Christmas break sourcing materials to collect when we come back.

It is a FANTASTIC opportunity to get involved in a piece of student written theatre being independently staged at a brilliant venue in York, and we have a very skilled cast and crew lined up for you to work alongside.

If you are interested please email [email protected]. We won't have time to meet before the 3rd, so please briefly outline any experience you have in that area (no more than 150 words) so we can get the ball rolling as soon as poss, but don't worry if you haven't done anything like this before, still get in touch!!

Marge: Oh no! Oh my Lord! Arthur?... Hello? Earth to Arthur? Bloody hell, I’ve killed my husband!

(Arthur wakes up with a start. He stares at Marge)

Arthur: Peanuts?

Marge: Arthur! Is it you? It is really you?

Arthur: Peanuts?

Marge: Right stay there my darling, I’ll just get you a cold flannel. One sec. Stay there.

(Marge stands and crosses to the sink to get a flannel. As she does so she notices the time on the clock and lets out a small scream)
