prompt five: Seeds Sowing 🌱

There are many ways we can sow seeds, whether that’s farmers in their fields or us tending to our own gardens. However, nature also lends a helping hand, often without even realising it… 🌰

Prompt Four: Ocean Glowing

This piece was inspired by a trip I took to K’gari Island. One evening, a group of us went down to the beach after dark. We listened to the waves as they met the shore and watched the moonlight glow across the water. With no air pollution, the sky felt endless....

Of course, there wasn’t really a boat with a cat… but that's the joy of art, I can add one 😺

Prompt three: Wind Blowing

For this hungry fox from the direction of the wind blowing, he can track down his next meal, I wonder what it could be....

Prompt two: River Flowing

When you think of beavers, you might picture dams, not flowing rivers. Yet they play a key role in supporting them.

Across Britain rivers have been shaped by industrial changes, leaving a few true natural spaces. Beavers are natural water engineers, they slow, spread, and store water, helping restore rivers and wetlands.

So far, they've had an incredible impact on the ecosystem in Britian, and theres no doubt they'll stay 🦫

prompt one; Forest Growing

Or, in this case.... Regrowing 🌱

For this piece, I've been inspired by the Australian bush fires and how we help it to recover. However, nature has found a way... (it does sound a bit like a line out of Jurassic Park, doesn't it?).

There are some trees, eucalyptus being one that can start to sprout again only two months after a bush fire. How incredible is that?

Like a phoenix, the forest turns to ash and is reborn again.

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted… Alright, a long while!

After a year of travelling around Australia and riding the rollercoaster that is traveller life, I’ve now settled in Melbourne. I’m really keen to get my creative flow going again.

I’ve started a small personal project called Lunch Noodles (a little play on ā€œdoodlesā€ with a food twist… this name may change, but it works for now šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø). On my lunch breaks, I take a quiet moment to observe and sketch, and it’s honestly worked wonders.

It feels so good to be drawing again

78 years ago on this very day on 5 separate beaches along the French coast line of Normandy, D -day had begun.
160,000 allied troops landed on these beaches. 61, 715 of those were British troops.

At 12 midday a special bulletin was read by John Snagge on the BBC Home service radio to announce to the whole of Great Britain that D-day had started.
You can read the original news script and listen to the announcement by following the link below.

ONE TREE PLANTED, by planting one tree it can do so much for us and for our wildlife here in the UK you create new habitats for them. It keeps our beautiful countryside alive and for many more generationsto see. They also help keep our air cleaner one individual tree can remove 1 tonne of CO2 in its lifetime, that's the equivalent to 18 dairy cows in weight!? How incredible is that!
Planting a tree is so simple, you can donate to help organisations that will plant them in the most needed areas. You can even plant one In your garden (if it's big enough of course šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø)
