Stagecoach Performing Arts York

Providing excellent part-time performing arts training for children aged 4 - 18 years in York and surrounding areas.

With over 700 theatre schools and more than 40,000 students worldwide, Stagecoach is the UK's largest network of part time performing arts schools for children. Since our inception in 1988, our singing, acting and dancing classes have helped to build the confidence of many thousands of children, as well as providing a springboard for some of the country's leading young performers.

🌹✨ What a week... What a show! ✨🌹

We're still smiling after an incredible week at our Stagecoach York Summer Workshop, where 60 amazing young performers brought Beauty and the Beast to life!

In just five days, our cast learned songs, choreography, scenes and staging before performing an absolutely spectacular production for family and friends on Friday afternoon.

From the opening scene to the emotional finale, every single student gave their all. The confidence, teamwork, determination and talent on display made us unbelievably proud! 👏

A huge thank you to our incredible teaching team for their creativity, passion and encouragement, and to all of our families for their support throughout the week.

Can't wait to our next show!!

🎭 NEW THURSDAY CLASSES IN YORK 🎭

Enrolment for our Autumn Term is now open!!

We're excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Thursday Main Stages school at Archbishop Holgate's School this Autumn!

For children and teenagers aged 6–18, our weekly classes combine singing, dance and drama in a fun, supportive environment where students build confidence, creativity and life skills that last a lifetime.

🎶 WHAT A DAY IN HARROGATE! 🎶

A huge congratulations to our incredible Stagecoach York Choir who performed brilliantly yesterday at the Harrogate Big Sing 👏✨

From the first rehearsal to the final curtain, the students represented Stagecoach York with such professionalism, energy, confidence, and teamwork. We could not be prouder of every single one of them ❤️

It was wonderful to see all of their hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm come together on stage in such a fantastic performance atmosphere 🎤🎶

A massive thank you as well to all of our parents and families for your continued support, days like this simply wouldn’t be possible without you 😊

A special thank you also to our fantastic singing teacher, Tom, for all of his hard work in putting everything together and preparing the choir so brilliantly for the performance 👏🎶

🎶 What a fantastic afternoon at the York Community Choir Festival! 🎶

On Sunday, the Stagecoach York Choir had a wonderful time performing at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre as part of this year’s York Community Choir Festival.

Our singers delivered a brilliant performance and represented Stagecoach York beautifully alongside other talented local choirs. It was a joy to see their confidence, energy, and love of singing shining through on stage.

A huge thank you and congratulations to our wonderful singing teacher Tom, whose dedication and direction helped make the performance such a success. 👏

And of course, well done to all of our amazing singers, we are incredibly proud of you! 🎤✨

🌟 NEW CLASS ALERT – EARLY STAGES SATURDAY AFTERNOONS! 🌟

We are so excited to be opening a brand new Early Stages class this Summer Term at Stagecoach Performing Arts York! 🎭🎶💃

🗓 Starting: Summer Term
⏰ Saturdays | 2:00pm – 3:30pm
👧👦 For children aged 4–6

Our Early Stages classes are the perfect introduction to performing arts, combining singing, dancing and drama in one fun-filled 90-minute session each week.

At Stagecoach, we focus on:

✨ Developing creativity
✨ Making new friends
✨ Learning key life skills through performance

Whether your child loves to sing at home, dance around the living room, or simply needs a little boost in confidence – this is the perfect place to start 💛

✨ A huge congratulations to our Stagecoach York Dance Troupe! ✨

At our most recent performance, our talented Troupe took to the stage at the Everybody Dance Festival on the York Theatre Royal Stage. Their energy, commitment and professionalism were outstanding, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single student who performed.

A massive well done to Esme for her brilliant choreography, and a big thank you to all our families for your ongoing support.
