RIP wonderful Dolly Parton. We shall sing in tribute to her next Wednesday.

In a statement confirming her death, the singer's team says she will be remembered as an "inspiration" and for her "wit, warmth, and kindness".

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Chaos at Choir tonight - we ranged in age from 19 to 91 - and both young and somewhat older said how much they’d enjoyed it! And WELL DONE to all our song leaders - you allowed it to happen. Enjoy your treats.

Nadine and John managed to see the end of the football last night after the party, so we can confirm that choir is cancelled on Wednesday for the semi-finals, which are at 8pm. Next session is Chaos on 5th August - members please let us know if you can lead a song!

Had to be done - “testing” the beer sponsored by Tuneless Choir at Fadmoor Beer Festival. We didn’t get to choose but a chocolatey stout is perfect for us!

You should all have your emails this morning. Note the big caveat that we’ll cancel the session on Wednesday if England win tonight, as it’ll be their semi-final.

Thanks everyone who joined us last night! Bit of a miscount on the raffle - but we still raided £244 for Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind!

That was the end of term, so you’ll get chance to sign up for the next 6 sessions in our Spring Term for £42, by bank transfer (details will be in the next email) or card / cash at our next session on 1st April. Worth signing up if you’ll miss one, but not two, of the following:
- 1st and 15th April
- 6th and 20th May
- 3rd and 17th June

Plans so far:
1st April - April Fools - songs contained the word “fool” - there are a surprising number!
15th April - Musicals - from The Jungle Book to Grease, we’ll have a tonne (because they tend to be short) of dramatic, singable numbers!
