Yen is such a beautifully written play that deals with some very serious issues in a really delicate and moving way (plus I hear the show has some excellent costume design)!

The other team members - especially my angelic collaborator Amy, our shining star of a producer Libby, and our crazy cool directors Yasmin and Ellen!

Because why would you spend Valentine's Day watching a heart-wrenching film alone when you can spend it watching a heart-wrenching play with a bunch of strangers?

"No, I like it when it rains. Feels new when it’s done".

The gel that we have as a cast makes rehearsals a relaxed place and allows us to work really well.

It’s a very personal show, if you enjoy complicated interpersonal relationships this is the show for you. It will also make you cry.

It’s honestly one of the best plays I’ve ever read and the guys have worked so hard on it! It’s definitely a roller-coaster of a journey, so bring your tissues, but I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

Haven’t you ever seen a girl in a dress before?

*What's your favourite moment from rehearsals?*
There have been so many times in rehearsals where my sides and cheeks have ached from laughing, honestly this whole production is my favourite thing. It’s just like nothing I’ve ever done before so the challenge has been great.

*Why should people come and see the show?*
This is an amazing, heartbreaking, beautiful play, honestly its the best thing I’ve ever been involved in. Plus I do a Welsh accent.

"I tripped and fell with my mouth open."

*What's your favourite moment from rehearsals?*
We’ve gone on some fantastic tangents during tablework sessions. Also teaching James and Sam MLE with help from the Chicken Connaisseur.

*Why should people come and see the show?*
Because of its fearless exploration of aggression, neglect in all its forms, and vulnerability. It has some truly remarkable performances and I can’t wait to see it in its entirety.

It's prod week, and that means it's time to introduce our fabulous cast! First up, we have James Melville who is playing Bobbie.

‘Just say “hi brother”'.

*What's your favourite moment from rehearsals?*
This has been a particularly challenging character for me and it’s been really fulfilling to push myself. Hopefully, I can show everyone what else I can do.

*Why should people come and see the show?*
I think all members of the cast have shown great potential in this show, but this excellent piece of writing is a fantastic opportunity for all of us to show off what we can do. If you enjoy character-heavy plays, this is what you should be seeing this term.
