York Textile Artists members Jo Yeates Creates and Batik-Art are part of the exhibition and pop-up shop at 22 High Petergate. On until 25th May. Includes lots of demonstrations of amazing techniques too.

We'd really like to say a massive THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who came to visit us here at the studios for York Open Studios this year.

We had a record number of people visit us over the two weekends, and we are genuinely so chuffed that you all came to see us and our work and support our creative practices.

We had the best time having lovely conversations, showing you our work and talking about our inspiration and why we do what we do. And of course we are also truly appreciative to everyone who purchased our work, everything from 'just a card' to a one off unique piece. ALL your support really means so much.

It's not just the artists who took part this year, there was also an amazing team of other artists South Bank Studios who did so much work behind the scenes both before and over the two weekends. Thank you all.

Plus the amazing folks of with their legendary cakes, scones, butties and more at their wonderful cafe 😋 which was as ever a welcome pause and replenishment for visitors.

We'd also like to thank the York Open Studios committee for all their hard work and dedication putting on this amazing event once again!

And finally we were delighted to be featured in the press too, so thank you again to , .press and also for their support too!

It's the FINAL DAY of 2026!

Don't miss out. Come down to the studios on Bishy Road and see all the amazing work our artists and makers have been creating.

We have EIGHT talented artists and makers taking part this year, all in one venue.
Donna Maria Taylor Caroline Utterson Textiles and Embroidery Carolyn Coles - Artist and Illustrator Jo Yeates Creates Laura Duval Artist Designer Metalsmith Susan Bradley Design and Colin Black Seek Art School

So do come down to meet them all, chat about their process, techniques and inspirations and maybe even buy something!
Our artists here are talented in so many different media and techniques including textile art, drawing, jewellery, water colour, print making, oil painting, mixed media, metalsmithing, and more. From one off original pieces to limited edition prints to greetings cards - there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Plus we are dog friendly, and you can stop for refreshments in our fab cafe too.

York Open Studios - weekend two is THIS WEEKEND!

If you missed the first weekend of this years York Open Studios don't worry. We are back for the second (and final) weekend this coming weekend.

We have EIGHT talented artists and makers taking part this year, all in one venue. So do come down to meet them all and see their fantastic work. Our artists cover so much amazing a varied work including drawing, jewellery, water colour, print making, oil painting, mixed media, metalsmithing and textile art and more. From one off original piece to limited edition print to greetings cards - there's something for everyone,

And stop for refreshments in our fab cafe too.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the studios, showing you all our work and chatting to you too.
