Thursday Night Salsa!!

We have started introducing rueda to our improvers class and it has been absolutely amazing.

These guys have been smashing it! Would you believe that some of them only started their salsa journey in January?

‼️ CANCELLED ‼️

Due to maintenance work at the venue there will be no class next Thursday 19th February

Those who have booked classes in advance will not have been able to book this date but please double check your booking is for the following week

Classes will resume as normal Thursday 26th February

Starting Next Week 🥳

After an incredible taster session last week, Salsa Yeovil and Westlands Yeovil have been working towards getting weekly classes set up and ready for you all

The weekly classes will begin January 29th with classes for all abilities

We will have:
Beginners: 7:30pm - 8:15pm
Improvers: 8:15pm - 9:00pm
Social: 9:00pm - 9:30pm

Booking:
Online booking will be required for these classes and will be available soon on the Octagon Academy page of the Octagon Theatre website

What to bring:
-Comfortable footwear and clothing
-Water Bottle
-Sweat cloth (if needed)

Price:
1 class: £7
2 classes: £10
Social: Free for those attending either or both classes

Please note:
This class is suitable for people coming solo, or with someone else. Changing dance partners will happen throughout all classes so there is no need to bring your own dance partner

What a night!

I'd firstly like to thank everyone who came to our taster night. We had people who had never danced before, dancers new to salsa, and people who had danced salsa before. Together we enjoyed some Latin Line-ups, and an introduction class to Cuban Salsa. Most importantly, the room felt like a community!

We must have done something right as Westlands Yeovil has invited us back for weekly classes 🥳

Classes will begin Thursday 29th January as there is still some admin required for setting up the class.

Keep an eye out on the Salsa Yeovil Facebook and Instagram for the event and posters to send to your friends who you think would love to learn some salsa.

We are very excited to share that we have our launch date!

Join us at the incredible venue of Westlands Yeovil for a free taster session to kick off the start of our weekly classes

What to expect:
-Salsa style line-up routines straight from the stage of Glastonbury Festival

-A beginners salsa partner-work class suitable for all levels (You don't need to bring a partner, we'll all dance with eachother)

What to bring:
-Comfortable shoes and clothes
-Water bottle
-A smile 😃

Booking:
For the free taster session there is no need to book, but please put yourself down as going on the event to give us an idea of numbers

Who is welcome:
Absolutely everyone is welcome, whether you've danced before, or this is your first dance class, this taster will have something for everyone. However, anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by someone 18+
