We’re on press again! And not just Evolver 119, our new publication the Dorset Art Weeks Magazine too! THANK YOU to all Evolver Sponsors and advertisers for making it possible, distribution of both magazines will start next Wednesday 28th April, with subscriber copies being posted out the same day. And we’ll be distributing again from 17th May to all the Evolver outlets that won’t be ready for us next week.

We are over the moon to be able to bring you THE EVOLVER PRIZE EXHIBITION 2020. Brought to you by Evolver Magazine and ACEarts Gallery. This wonderful exhibition brings you 50 selected artworks following the call to artists. Submissions to the Evolver Prize are all magazine cover size and the winning piece was awarded a cash prize as well as having their artwork featured on the cover of the magazine itself. 49 runners up were also selected and together are all featured in this virtual gallery.

The winning piece this year was "A Bubble" by Leo Davey.

Our Evolver Prize 2020 exhibition at Ace Arts in Somerton will now not be able to open on 6th January. But we will launch an online virtual gallery version (c/o The Absent Gallery) on our website, and will start posting our 50 selected works on Instagram daily from 6th January.

So we’re now all in Tier 3 or 4 in Wessex, making it impossible for us to print and distribute a January / February issue of Evolver. It’s a disappointing way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, but with today’s other news that the Oxford University / AstraZeneca vaccine will be rolled out from next Monday, we can look forward to publishing a celebratory Spring comeback issue as soon as circumstances allow!

EVOLVER PRIZE 2020 WINNER
We are very excited to announce that A BUBBLE by LEO DAVEY is the winning entry in this year’s Evolver Prize competition! Leo wins £1,000 and the front cover of our next issue, Evolver 119, our 20th Anniversary issue, due out in early January. We also selected a further 49 works for the exhibition at Ace Arts, Somerton, 6 January to 27 February 2021.

Sixteenth page: £37.50 (usually £75)
Eighth page: £70 (usually £140)
