You’re invited to join us as we celebrate 15 years of OSR Projects CIC!
We couldn’t have made it this far without all of you — artists, curators, volunteers, supporters, venue hosts, community, and everyone else who has been part of the OSR Projects journey over the years. Thank you!

To celebrate, we’ll be screening a selection of films by OSR Projects alumni artists from 3pm–6pm. The running order will be announced nearer the time.

Between 6pm til late there’ll also be a pay bar, food, live music, and a few more things planned throughout the event.

Thursday Night Potters, 6 weekly sessions 10 September to 15 October 2026, 6pm to 8:30pm.

These friendly and social sessions take place on Thursday evenings 6pm – 8:30pm here at our studio in West Coker, nr Yeovil.

Suitable for all aged 18+, from beginners or those looking to brush up on their skills.

For complete beginners we will guide you on the three hand building techniques: pinching, slab and coiling which will give you the foundations for creating your final masterpiece or a few smaller things. You will also have the opportunity to develop a range of surface decoration techniques.

For improvers and others that come back term after term, the sessions allow’s you to work more independently, refining your hand building, experimenting with form and surface or building something more ambitious. We are on hand to guide you and discuss the best way forward with your project and help with what is achievable in the 6 weeks.

TNP workshop runs once a week for 2.5 hours over a 6 week period. Clay and firings, tea and coffee are all included in the cost. �Maximum ten people.

What a fantastic term we’ve had working with East Coker Primary School! East Coker Primary School
Pupils were studying festivals and graffiti artists, so we combined the two themes to create our very own clay festival.

We started by drawing three overlapping faces using three different coloured pens, before taking on the challenge of drawing the person sitting opposite us—always guaranteed to get plenty of laughs! Those sketches then inspired a wonderful crowd of pinch pot festival-goers, each full of character.

In week three, we explored the work of 1990s artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, taking inspiration from his expressive faces, bold marks and rich textures. The children recreated these textures using a slip transfer technique on terracotta tiles.

Now that everything has been fired, we’re hoping to spot a little “slow graffiti” appearing around the school... 😉🎨🧱

The morning session will open with three short informal presentations from OSR Projects directors, each of whom will share their recent and current work , and

Hettie Judah then takes a seat at the centre for an open, hour-long conversation, taking questions about the art world, about her work, about navigating a creative life. Bring whatever's on your mind.

Hettie will also be selling and signing copies of her new book, How to Enter the Art World…After— a myth-busting guide for artists whose lives are complicated and human.

About Hettie Judah:
Hettie Judah is a writer and curator. She is a regular contributor to The Guardian, Frieze and The Times Literary Supplement, and writes a monthly column for Apollo magazine. Between 2016 and 2024 she was the chief art critic for the British daily newspaper The i. She was the curator of the acclaimed Hayward Gallery touring exhibition Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood.
