Over a couple of weekends in July some of our elite dancers took part in independent summer competitions. This was a brilliant opportunity to run out some routines before a summer break and also the last time before moving up sections for a lot of these. It was also the first time without a full team so very proud of the girls and mums who went for supporting each other and thank you for representing Centre Stage Elite to the highest level. Thank you to Sue and Moira for giving up their weekend and supporting the team as always 💜

After posting the top photo on our story at the weekend and after a few messages from those who don’t follow Miss Becki directly I realised we haven’t announced the birth of Miss Becki’s beautiful baby boy …

Please welcome - Freddie Paul Bradley 🩵 Born on the 6th May, 13 days late but worth the wait. Congratulations to Miss Becki and her husband Louis on their newest arrival 🥰

Freddie loved his little fan club Sunday and can’t wait to meet more of the Centre Stage family and our dance friends 💜

Lovely afternoon performing at Guiseley Street Party with our singers 💜

So lovely to see how much the girls have come on since their last performance at the Christmas Lights in December and our Showcase in January! It was also so lovely for our dance pupils to come along and support their friends 🥰

Massive thank you to Miss Jess our fabulous singing teacher who has really brought on the girls in their skills and confidence which is lovely to see

The next 4 weeks see’s our dance and cheer classes rehearsing and performing at Rawdon Gala and Guiseley Carnival and we can’t wait 💜

Wow! What a weekend our Elite team had at As always the girls worked so hard and showed their passion on stage! Which always makes us proud but what makes us even prouder is the way our pupils & parents show their love, kindness and support to each other and our competitors. The talent was insane this weekend but the girls held their own and it was lovely seeing and supporting our dance friends from other schools as well as new dancers

This was the first competition without Miss Becki (awaiting her new arrival🍼) and everyone stepped up! Special thank you to Miss Poppy & Sue for playing the music and Moira, the mums & girls for sorting backstage 💜

This team is about Team Work - on the day and behind the scenes … 6 new routines at this comp choreographed by Miss LucyJo and Miss Becki, Miss Brooke has ran solo/duet/trio practise over the last 2 months, Miss Poppy has improved troupe dances, Miss Deana has tweaked & improved ballet & tap solos and Miss Jess has been working hard in privates on vocals and S&D’s. All of this alongside the girls hard work, parents support, Miss Becki entering comps/running our elite team and the environment our Principal Carol sets - allows this special team to thrive and the results are a result of all of this together 🥰

IDTA Exam Day Complete ✅

95 individual entries and 36 exam pieces completed 🎉
- 12 Acro exams 🤸🏼‍♀️
- 8 Musical Theatre exams 🎭
- 8 Ballet exams 🩰
- 8 Tap exams 👯

Congratulations to all our pupils who completed their IDTA exams today. They’ve worked so hard for a long time and we can’t wait to recieve the results 🏅 Exams can be very scary but the pupils today have been calm and really enjoyed themselves, as some of these pictures will show you … definitley Instagram vs reality moments 🤪😂 Thank you for being such hard working, dedicated, fun, well behaved pupils - we’re very lucky to have you and your parents be part of Team Centre Stage 💜

Some behind the scenes massive thank you’s are in order and would not of been possible without these people:
- The biggest - Our Principal Carol who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes for a year now to make sure these exams happened today. It is not an easy job at all and we’d be here all day trying to explain everything that Carol has done to make these happen!
- Today’s on the day team - Miss Poppy doing the music. Pupils - Mia & Lacey for running their hair salon 😉 helping all the other pupils in between their exams. Susan, Moira & Jody for making sure all the pupils were ready to go into their exams with correct numbers, uniform and hair as well as keeping them calm and excited.
- Miss Deana - who started teaching our Ballet and Tap classes in January and the girls have just taken to her instantly. Deana has really brought the girls on to make sure they’re ready for these exams with kindness and a fun learning environment. Thank you to Miss Lauren who has covered when Miss Deana has had other commitments and our previous teacher Miss Hannah.
- Miss Poppy - for setting all the acro routines and Miss Emma’s help in making sure routines have been perfected the last month. .dance
- Miss Becki - for setting all the musical theatre routines and Miss Brooke’s help in making sure routines have been perfected the last month.

What an absolute team effort all round to make today possible 💜💜💜
