We have had great fun rehearsing for our summer concert - Rhythms from Africa. We hope to see you at 7.47 on Saturday 4th July at St Peter's Church, Yateley.
The concert will take you on a musical journey that begins in Africa echoing across continents and cultures and will include Bob Chilcott’s exuberant A Little Jazz Mass, Karl Jenkins’s Adiemus and Alexander L’Estrange’s joyful Songs of a Rainbow Nation.
Tickets are £17 in advance from Yateley Town Council, St Swithun’s parish office & Discoveries and online at www.ticketebo.co.uk/ycs
On the day, tickets at £20 (students: £5 and accompanied under 16s free) will be available on the door.

Today (Monday 13th April) we start rehearsing for our Summer concert. The programme will include Alexander L’Estrange's "Songs of a Rainbow Nation" and Bob Chilcott's "A Little Jazz Mass" in a concert which explores how rhythm, song and shared human experience can travel and transform — from African roots to African-American spirituals, from South African song to the vibrant energy of jazz.

Spring concert - introducing our soloists:
We are delighted to welcome Johanna Chambers as our soprano soloist. Johanna has been singing from an early age and combines her performing work with a professional career dedicated to inspiring children to explore music through singing. She studied classical voice at the London College of Music under Ivor Flint and Sandra Ford.
Johanna has performed with The Savoy Singers, Maidenhead Operatic Society and Hounslow Musical Company, and has sung for HM The King. She has also been a chorister with the Chapel Choir of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
As part of our mission, we strive to encourage young musicians, so we are thrilled to be able to welcome three young people who will accompany us on cello, oboe and timpani.
The concert is on Saturday at 7.45pm at St Swithun's Church, Yateley
Advance tickets at £17 are still available.
On the door, tickets will be £20 for adults, £5 for students and free for accompanied children under 16.
