Our Art Group leader Mike Hayward is featured today by Yate Heritage Centre as part of the Yate Art Open. Mike and several other members of our group have work in the exhibition, which continues until 1 October.

One of our many wonderful artists featured in this years Yate Art Open exhibition is Mike.

Mike Hayward is a Chipping Sodbury based artist working primarily in acrylics. Inspired by light, atmosphere and the landscape, he paints in an increasingly expressive style, seeking to capture the experience and mood of a place rather than simply record its appearance.

🎨 Exciting News!

Following the success of our existing Art Group, we're delighted to be launching a new Thursday morning Art Group from 3 September at Yate Bowls Club.

The group will be led by Sue Sellers and will offer a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment where members can enjoy painting and drawing together, share ideas and develop their skills at their own pace.

No previous artistic experience is needed – enthusiasm is far more important than ability. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time in years or already have plenty of experience, you'll be made very welcome.

🖌 Thursdays, 10.00 am – 12 noon
📍 Yate Bowls Club
