WORKSHOP ALERT

Sunday 27th September, 10am - 12pm.

Join Wendy & Sue of The Creative Chicken to discover the art or bisque staining.

During this 1 1/2 - 2 hour workshop you will learn how to use Fashenhues stains to create a stunning Green Man wall plaque for your home or garden.

You will be taught how to prepare your bisque before applying your stains and being shown how to achieve a stunning antiqued effect. You will learn how to apply and remove the stain to create a truly beautiful Green Man.

Once compelete your project will be sealed so that it is ready to hang as soon as you get home. No firing needed!

All tools and materials provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and try a new technique.

Our fabulous workshops are now booking.

The first to tell you about is this amazing 3 dimensional wreath workshop with lovely Anna from Cutters for clay.

Join Anna from Cutters for Clay for a fun and creative 2-hour clay workshop at Fired & Inspired Festival!

Using the brand-new 3D wreath former, you’ll create your very own clay wreath ready to decorate however you choose. Whether you love flowers, woodland themes, beach vibes, seasonal designs, or something completely unique, you’ll have access to our huge range of specially designed cutters, stamps and silicone moulds to bring your ideas to life.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities – from complete beginners who’ve never touched clay before, to experienced makers looking for fresh inspiration. There’ll be plenty of example pieces on display, and Anna will be on hand throughout to help you turn your ideas into a beautiful finished design.

Best of all, you’ll get to keep your wreath former at the end of the session, so you can continue creating wreaths long after the festival is over!

Come along, get creative, play with clay, and discover just how easy it is to create stunning decorative pieces using simple techniques and the right tools.

Suitable for all abilities
Duration: 2 hours
Includes: Earthenware Clay, use of tools and moulds during the workshop, and your very own wreath former to take home.

This workshop does not include firing, but Pixie Pots Ltd is offering a firing service for £3. Alternatively please bring along a box with you to take your masterpiece home with you for drying and firing.

The Festival will be on this field - we can't wait to watch it come to life! There will be Pottery to buy from our Northern Potters in the exhibition tent. Workshops to book and join in with in our workshop tent and in the field. There will be a Northern Potters tent for talks and pottery camp on Sunday. There will also be food, drinks, demos, freebies and pottery painting. And... if that isn't enough we have special visitors from the USA too- Clayshare GR Pottery Forms and Mayco Colors will be with us- and we will also have kilns and wheels on sale with Cromartie Hobbycraft and pottery supplies with Sedgefield Pottery Supplies Save the date!

STUDIO 9 CERMAICS
Studio 9 Ceramics is a small-batch ceramics studio based in Sedgefield, County Durham, created by artist and ceramicist Danielle Pilling.
Danielle is a studio potter living and working in North East England. Her work is influenced by the natural beauty of the local coastline. Working from photographic references and sketches drawn on location, she begins to blur these recordings in her studio with her memory, imagination and abstract mark making. Danielle’s painting is integral to her ceramic practice as it provides a process of observation of both colour and texture that she aspires to capture in her ceramics thus creating a journey where the final ceramic piece is a three-dimensional response to her paintings.

Tara is a Yarm based potter with home studio
Her bright, bold and vibrant work is inspired by the animal kingdom, quite often the ocean creatures. She also creates thrown pots using a mixture of sgraffito, carving and underglaze painting techniques.

SLIPHOUSE POTTERY
Charles Brown makes Slipware; predominately wheel thrown, sometimes with modelled decoration. He tries to create work, simultaneously contemporary and traditional in spirit.

SELKI ARTS
Sarah is inspired by Nature, the oceans, mythology, fairy tales and ancient artefacts. She adore's working with clay and exploring new techniques and processes. At the moment she is working towards a show on the local folklore of the North York Moors.
