Highlighting the buildings and interventions that made Shatwell Farm transform into an architectural and arts community from 2014-2024. What fun we had! Our thanks to all who were part of this project and made it so special.

Pleased to share a new project and to soft-launch the call for submissions to the first issue. I’ll start posting some brilliant drawings by artists sourced from open access collections of art and design in the coming weeks.

‘Artists’ Drawings’ (.mag) is an artist-run magazine based in the UK. It publishes drawings made by artists, with a focus on how drawing can be used to develop and articulate ideas. It considers ‘the artist’ to be anyone who engages in a creative pursuit and follows a broad interpretation of drawing and drawings, holding an equal interest in objects made as part of a process and as outcomes in themselves. Led by images and intentions, it combines drawings made today with others from the near and distant past. 

The magazine is edited by Matt Page, an artist based between Bath and Bristol.

A full 18 months of tea at Shatwell has come to a close - how we shall all miss this little house built with the energy and spirit of collaboration, community and of course the love of tea! Niall and I are forever grateful for the collaboration and friendship with Michelle & Rob & Jenny (who cooked us all those dumplings). Thankyou also to everyone who was involved in making this project a reality 🍀✨

An exciting time for Drawing Matter as it launches a series of workshops and visits in the new space - definitely much easier to get to that Shatwell!

We are thrilled to have artists Seong Il Hong & Hye Jin from Boseong, South Korea in the teahouse showcasing their stunning handmade tea ware and ceramics. A rare opportunity to get close up to the culture of Southern Korean making and drink some delicious tea as you go. 🍵🍵

This year The Architectural Drawing Summer School moved from Shatwell to .drawingroom in Bermondsey, London, and what a wonderful week they all had 🙌
