Following on from my rose drawing the other day, I decided to pull the paints out and try painting one. So for the last 2 day whilst I've sat by my dear mothers bedside, this is what I have been doing.

So it's been a while since I've picked up my pencil due to various reason. But today I dug out my drawing stuff and with the request from my step dad to do a red rose with mum on it.

Now many of you will know that flowers of any kind and not my strong point or my go to thing to draw. Some of you will also know that I hate drawing roses, so this was quite the challenge for me. I have to say that although it's not perfect, I'm impressed with how this came out.

Bit behind again, but have managed to catch up once again. I have to say, working my way through another course in mental health alongside this drawing challenge can be difficult to juggle sometimes, but I'm managing.
Day 10 - candles
Day 11 - Christmas pudding
Day 12 - Christmas jingle bells.
As you may have noticed I'm loving the idea of black and white with a little bit of colour in it at the moment. 😊

Sorry really slack again, but finally caught up again. I know some of these are not brilliant, but each one has some form of learning curve in them so not just focusing on the drawing itself.

Slightly behind in my drawing challenge but managed to get caught up tonight.

I know my snowman isn't perfect, but there is so much more to drawing that just drawing a picture. I've been telling myself for a while I.must teach myself how to do white things, so this was my chance to give it a go. 😊

2 years ago I decided to do a Christmas drawing challenge. I've decided I would try and do another one this year. For the next 25 days I shall draw 1 picture per day relating to Christmas.
DAY 1 - Robin. Far from great in my eyes.

And they are here. Would love to know what you guys think of them. I have to say I was very nervous opening the packaging as wasn't sure what to expect. But I think I can safely say I'm super chuffed with them.
The inside message read "wishing you a merry Christmas And a happy new year."

Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me in these and given me tips on how to work the paint etc, there has been many times where I have thought nope I'm giving up, but you have made me see through that. So thank you to all of you.

The last couple of months I have spent working on 2 Christmas card designs. Last week I sent those designs off to the printers and today..... they are arriving. I'm just a little bit excited, whilst nervous to see my work in bigger quantities.
Whilst I plan on just sending these for myself this year and test the waters ready for next year, I may have some left over should anyone wish to support me in my artwork journey. Just give me a message and will see what I can do.
Whilst I hadn't decided if I wanted to share the designs for this year with you lovely lot, I do realise that I'm going to have to in order to be able to give you guys a chance to see them for yourselves, so please stay tuned, hopefully in the next 2 hours I will be able to post pictures of the cards.

All my art skills have been self taught. I currently draw/paint as a hobby, with the exception of a few close family and friends who have asked for a specific drawing whether that is as a challenge for me or as a little gift.
