It is with the saddest news we recently announced the passing of our amazing Jamie who led the groundbreaking Music sessions at Emerge across Wrexham and Flintshire, Liverpool, on-line and beyond. We thank you all for all your messages of love and support, we will all miss him more than words can say. Here is the information for the funeral which takes place on Tuesday 11th August at 1pm in Pen y Cae.

Recently, Emerge Community Arts has been working in partnership with Wrexham University on the ARISE project, delivering a Forum Theatre workshop at Ty Pawb, Wrexham. Using real-life stories and lived experiences, participants explored accessibility, inclusion and discrimination through drama, transforming discussion into action. It was inspiring to watch confidence grow throughout the day as participants rehearsed communication, self-advocacy and different possibilities for change. Projects like this remind us of the power of Forum Theatre to create safe spaces where people can share experiences, challenge assumptions and find their voice.

It's stress awareness week! It's ok to feel a little bit of stress now and then, it's normal especially when your being chased by a Tiger! Yet we also know how bad it can be for your health to feel stressed for long periods of time. So how can we relax? Spend time with friends, take up some gentle exercise like dance, singing and yoga. Or get out into Nature if you can. All help to relax and keep stress at bay! Another option is to join Emerge and try out some fun activities and courses like Music, Dance or Drama or creative writing!

What an amazing week it’s been so far! Our learners have been singing together and rehearsing for our upcoming ‘Emerge Has Got Talent!’ show. We’ve been exploring different music genres, creating artist profiles packed with fun facts, and enjoying writing our own meaningful songs and lyrics that truly express who we are. Tell us who's your favourite artist or what is your favourite song?
