Hi Folks,
I keep forgetting about this page and must get on and use it more often. Mind you I never post on my other one either!
Anyway, I have not been well the last few days and not up to painting so I've been doing a job I have been putting off for ages: sorting and culling my several thousand 35mm slides.
I have culled most of them, just leaving the ones that I feel I might use for reference for painting/drawing. There's still a couple of thousand left and I will be starting the long job of scanning and uploading them.
As well as landscapesand seascapes there are lots of portrait, lifestyle and people in the landscape shots, as well as flowers, animals, still life hand studies etc. I was going to offer them all to the groups I use but they tend to have an embargo on faces and people. So I'm now thinking of starting my own group so that people will be able to have a go at portraits, interiors etc. All photos are at least 20/25 years old and had full model releases at the time.... though I will never be able to match them up now!
By forming my own group, only I would be responsible as I hold the copywrite on all the photos. So they would be freely available to anyone for use. I'll be scanning and cloud storing them anyway for my own use, so if anyone would be interested in access as a shared resource, please let me know.

I keep forgetting to post what I'm doing. Just now I'm reworking some paintings I did earing through year. Both WIP, from tonight. Both oil on board 8x10 overpainting done in Cad yellow, Pyrrole Red and Ultramarine Blue plus lack and white.
