My beautiful brave boy. You had more spirit than your poorly heart could handle. You taught me how to live in the moment and what it truly means to be present. I desperately wanted more time with you, 3.5 years was so cruelly short, but even forever would never have been enough.
You filled every space you entered with the biggest brightest eyes, excitement and waggy tail. I have never known a dog to love everyone and everything to the purest extent you did, you gave your kindness to everyone, without condition. There is not a person who didn't fall in love with you in the split second of your greeting. My sweetest, kindest, goodest boy, you have left your paw prints on so many hearts.
This morning is painfully quiet. There are no bossy barks, no cuddles on the sofa listening to the radio, there is no tornado to chase. The lounge is still how you left it yesterday, you have not rearranged the furniture today 💔 It just doesn’t feel like home anymore.
I broke my own heart to fix yours, and I would do it again. The pain I feel now is the limitless love I have for you, searching for your hugs. What a privilege to have loved so fiercely and be loved back in the same way.
I hope wherever you are now, you’re free. Running and playing as every dog should. No pain or struggle, just living your best life. Destroying another sofa and obsessing over another basketball. Meticulously planning another biscuit heist.
I will look for you in every cloud, Banana Man, and when it's my time, we'll finally run together.
Na'night my mate, see you in the morning. I love you, my Peanut 🧡 ###x
