HAPPY VOLUNTEERS' WEEK 2026! ❤️✨️

This week is the perfect opportunity to say a huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who make our communities such special places.

As a trustee for AVOW, I have the privilege of seeing first-hand the incredible individuals and organisations who give their time, energy and compassion to support others. From helping the most vulnerable in our society to creating opportunities for fun, friendship and connection, volunteers make an enormous difference every single day.

Their dedication, kindness and commitment are truly inspiring.

So, this Week, Diolch Mawr to every volunteer. Thank you for everything you do — our communities are stronger because of you. 💙

✨Writer-in-Residence across the River Dee 2026 with and ✨

Sometimes an opportunity comes along and you can't quite believe your ears! I'm so lucky to be joining a small cohort of 3 writers-in-residence across Wales this year who will be spending 12-months writing rivers in Wales from the Dee, to the Cleddau, to the Taff.

Llên mewn Lle | Lit in Place is Literature Wales’ flagship project which explores the climate and nature emergency through literature, run in partnership with WWF Cymru

I'm looking forward to meeting the River Dee as a living post-industrial landscape and historical archive, tracing how our communities in North East Wales remember and nurture the river. to embrace a shared sense of the Dee as a cultural space.

To kick off this residency in the best way possible I'll be hosting a workshop and performance at this wonderful event over the weekend hosted by ETA CIC:

Under the Aqueduct: Art & Poetry Weekend
📍at Froncysyllte Community Centre
📅25th & 26th April
⏰from 10am until 4pm
💵raising funds for / Cynefin Dyfrdwy

There will be more links in the bio.
