While watching Welcome to Wrexham Season 5, Episode 3, many viewers will have been following Wrexham AFC’s dramatic away trip to Leicester. During the episode, Wrexham AFC’s Community Director, Humphrey Ker, reflects on the season so far.
But look a little more closely…
When Humphrey appears on screen, he’s not sitting in a television studio or at the Racecourse. He’s actually seated on the stage of the Stiwt Theatre, with our beautiful auditorium providing the backdrop.
That means the Stiwt has now featured on Disney+ and Hulu, reaching audiences around the world as part of one of the most talked-about sports documentary series of recent years.
For those of us who know and love the Stiwt, it’s another reminder that this historic community theatre continues to play a role in telling the story of Wrexham on an international stage. From local productions and community events to global streaming platforms, the Stiwt’s story continues to evolve as we approach our Centenary celebrations in September 2026.
So, if you were watching Welcome to Wrexham, you may well have had a little piece of Rhosllannerchrugog appearing on your screen without even realising it.
