✨ Thank You, Llangollen. ✨

As the final applause echoed around Llangollen Pavilion and the company took its bows, we were reminded exactly why we do what we do.

To everyone who joined us on Saturday evening, thank you. Your warmth, generosity and enthusiastic support created an atmosphere that every performer on stage will remember for a long time.

Since the concert, we’ve been overwhelmed by the wonderful messages we’ve received.

“My family and I attended your concert last evening and were thrilled to see, and hear young singers with such talent and potential. A wonderful feast for our ears… Thank you all for such an enjoyable evening. We look forward to your future performances.” — Marcia

We’ve also been incredibly touched by so many audience members telling us that this was their favourite Night at the Opera yet.

We’re equally grateful for the wonderful review from Llanblogger, which described the evening as “an evening of scintillating song” and “an occasion for exquisite solos, dazzling duets and powerful chorus pieces”, concluding that it was “an evening of entertainment not easily to be forgotten.” (Llanblogger)

Thank you to everyone who supported North Wales Opera, to our exceptional cast and creative team, and to Stephen Cain for beautifully capturing the evening.

This is just the beginning of our photo series. Over the coming days we’ll be sharing highlights from each section of the programme, bringing you back to some of our favourite moments from A Night at the Opera.

🎶 A special addition to A Night at the Opera this Saturday at Llangollen Pavilion.

We are delighted to be joined by the wonderful Lleisiau’r Afon Ladies Choir, conducted by Leigh Mason, who will add the power and beauty of live operatic chorus to an evening already packed with unforgettable music.

Alongside fully staged opera scenes, beloved arias, duets and musical theatre favourites, the choir will help bring some of opera’s most thrilling moments to life.

Featuring a cast of outstanding professional soloists, accompanied by pianist Andrew Charity, this promises to be a memorable evening for seasoned opera lovers and those discovering it for the first time.

Thank you, Llanfyllin Workhouse! ❤️

What a fantastic evening as A Night at the Opera made its first stop at the historic Llanfyllin Workhouse.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported us. It was a pleasure to share an evening of opera favourites, musical theatre classics and staged scenes with such a warm and appreciative audience.

Our sincere thanks also go to the team at Llanfyllin Workhouse for their wonderful hospitality, and to all of our performers, accompanist Andrew Charity, volunteers and supporters who helped make the evening such a success.

Missed out? There’s still one more chance to experience A Night at the Opera as we head to Llangollen Pavilion on Saturday 25th July at 7pm.

This special performance will feature all of the music from Llanfyllin, plus the added sound of the wonderful ladies’ choir, Lleisiau’r Afon, making it an even bigger celebration of opera and musical theatre. With music by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and more, it’s an evening not to be missed.

We look forward to welcoming you to Llangollen! 🎭✨

A look behind the scenes as preparations continue for A Night at the Opera. 🎭

Yesterday, our cast gathered in Llangollen for music rehearsals and the first staging sessions, bringing this wonderful programme to life.

Today we’re at the historic Llanfyllin Workhouse for final staging ahead of tomorrow evening’s performance, before taking the production to Llangollen Pavilion next weekend.

It’s been fantastic to see the production come together, and we can’t wait to share an evening of some of opera’s most loved choruses, arias and ensembles with our audiences.

We look forward to welcoming everyone tomorrow!
