🚀 MG WARS – LEVEL 3 IS LIVE 🚀
It’s finally here.
Level 3 is complete, polished, and officially released.
This one’s been a journey. Not just technically, but personally too. Those who know what’s been going on behind the scenes will understand why it’s taken a little longer than planned. But I made a commitment to get this done properly, and I’ve delivered.
And honestly… this is the strongest version of MG Wars yet.
🔥 What’s new in Level 3:
– A completely tightened game loop – everything flows better, feels sharper, and plays faster
– Brand new BOOST system: movement speed now builds a nitro tank, and with a hit of the spacebar you can surge across the map to intercept abductors and save your rescues in clutch moments
– New weapons upgrades
– Refined movement and collision – smoother, more responsive, less jank, more control
– Bonus mechanics improved and balanced for better gameplay pacing
🎧 Exclusive music:
Level 3 features a proper Electro track banger from Beats Are Broken – Alex Tudella out in Brazil bringing serious tension energy to the level. This track elevates the whole experience.
🎮 Style & nostalgia:
This level leans hard into that 80s arcade vibe
– A-Team inspired flavour
– Mr T dropping attitude and one-liners
– Sylvester the cat making an appearance
– Classic humour, chaos, and a bit of madness woven through it all
🌍 Cross-Platform Support
MG Wars now runs across multiple platforms.
You can play it on desktop or mobile, with integrated on-screen control overlays making it fully playable on touch devices. Same game, same experience, wherever you are.
I’ve also got it running on the big screen through my Batocera retro gaming setup, which takes it back to that proper arcade feel. Sitting there with it on a full display and a game controller just feels right.

I’ll be releasing a full “how-to” video covering retro gaming with Batocera, including how I’ve integrated a Pygame project like MG Wars into that environment.
That will be going up on the Dance Music Organisation YouTube channel, so keep an eye out for it.
If you’re into retro systems, emulation, or building your own setups, this one will be worth watching.
