Worthing Wordsmiths

Worthing Wordsmiths Due to the Virus the group is closed but as soon as we can meet up again we will go for a meal and celebrate. Just to give you a little history about our group.

The group origanally formed in 2002 and was known as the The Chatsworth Forum and held at Chatsworth Road. The group moved to Worthing Homes Resource Centre in 2003. Robin Prieber became tutor in 2006 and Pam Long joined as co-tutor in2007. Sue Ruffell became back-up co-tutor in 2010. The group changed their name to Worthing Wordsmiths in 2007 chosen by Lorretta Read-Golding. The group moved to Sa

int Pauls Center in 2009, since then the group has expanded from 10 members to 18 ranging in age from 11 to 85 years. Sadly in January 2011 Robin passed away and Pam became our main tutor. We had our first book published in his honour in May 2011, containing Poems and Short Stories from past and present members and we are working towards a next book in the near future. We formed a commitee in February 2012 with Pam Long, Sue Ruffell, and myself Michelle Read. We are now pleased to inform you that we are working on a web page and on our own logo and both will be ready for public viewing in the next few weeks. We are also proud to inform you that we well now have a quarterly news letter published our first edition aimed for release this April. Which brings us to date welcome to our page

Well the group has done many things over the years. We now have our 2nd book out and a 3rd one is being worked on.

Our members have changed with new ones joining, old ones leaving, others sadly passing away. We welcome anyone who wants to join a creative writing group.
