So, about last night…
Last night was a truly wonderful experience. I was so overwhelmed with the support I received from all my friends and family in what is my first ever time professionally exhibiting any of my work!
I cannot thank them all enough for showing up for me and cheering me on, along with all the well wishes and congratulations I’ve had from from all of you that couldn’t make the trip or timing. I feel so appreciated and loved in my craft and cannot extend my gratitude enough, you all mean the world to me and it’s because of all of your support and confidence I was able to submit my work and see what came of it.
I don’t think words can really describe the feeling of seeing something you worked hard on and are so passionate about being seen and viewed by so many people, needless to say I welled up a bit!
Big thanks to all the people at Rugby Art Gallery who put this together and made this possible, I feel so privileged that I can exhibit with you.
I’d just like to extend a special thank you to my good friend Sophie Watkins ( ) for encouraging me to apply to this exhibit and really installing me with that last bit of confidence I needed to get me over the finish line with this one. Thank you for being a wonderful person, a magic soul and someone who shows the world an abundance of love, kindness and friendship. You’re a stunner Soph!
One final special thanks to my college art teacher Anthony Metcalf (Tony). Thank you for all your invaluable teaching and skills. I found a new love for art through your passion and dedication to the teaching of young artists and will forever look back fondly on your classes and reminisce. How I draw today was largely influenced by the technical art skills you installed in me back at college, and for that, I cannot thank you enough.
