Theatre Royal’s Rising Stars Youth Theatre

****for all Rising Stars and children involved in the Pantomime****

We have been able to obtain funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner for a number of acting workshops. Therefore the workshops will be free to all members of Rising Stars and Pantomime members.

All workshops will be on Sundays from 1-30 to 3-30 starting on the 13th of September for four weeks. Emma Rydal will be leading two and Toby Gaffney the other two.

13th September will be Improvisation and Character Building
20th September TBA
27th September Objectives and Actions
4th October TBA

Could you please let us know asap if you will be attending all workshops or some of them

This is a excellent opportunity for all to learn and improve your skills.

To everyone receiving their GCSE results today… ✨

Whatever is written on that piece of paper, please remember that your results do not define you.

They cannot measure your kindness, creativity, resilience, courage or the joy you bring to a rehearsal room. They do not show the friendships you have built, the fears you have overcome or all the wonderful things still waiting for you.

Celebrate the results you are proud of, be gentle with yourself if things have not gone as you hoped, and remember that there is always another route to where you want to be.

We are incredibly proud of every member of our youth theatre—not because of the grades you achieve, but because of the brilliant people you are. Your story is only just beginning. 🌙✨

Rising Stars Youth Theatre is a welcoming and inclusive youth group that does theatre where young people can discover the joy of theatre in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re an aspiring actor with dreams of performing on stage or simply looking to make new friends, build confidence, and try something new, everyone is welcome.

Through games, workshops, rehearsals, and performances, members develop acting skills, creativity, teamwork, communication, and self-belief, all while becoming part of a friendly community that celebrates every individual’s progress both on and off the stage.

To everyone sitting SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels, exams, assessments, or tests over the coming weeks — good luck! ✨

Remember: exams do not define who you are, your worth, your kindness, your talents, or the incredible future ahead of you. A grade is only one small part of your story, not the whole book.

Your dreams are still valid, your potential is still limitless, and your star will still shine brightly no matter what happens on a results sheet. 🌟
