I promise that we were all up and about much earlier than this although the Monday after Bearfest is always a day of recovery.
This is just to thank everyone who came yesterday, to the festival goers without whom it would be a bit of a flat day, the awesome performers who ALL worked for free, the volunteers who kept everyone fed, watered and holding raffle tickets, we thank you all.

Your last few days to get those advance tickets at £12.50. The pub garden is well on the way to being transformed into the festival site with the stage arriving, gazebos and the marquee going up and the tech crew due to start work tomorrow.
The beer garden is still open though for you to enjoy with a drink and maybe a meal at The Bear And Ragged Staff Inn
The pub does so much to support this event and we hope you’ll all continue to support them too.
See you all on Sunday!

This time next week the morning sound check will be completed, all the volunteers in place and the gate staff will be looking for the padlock keys, all will be set for a day of great music which will culminate with a full set from the fabulous The Delray Rockets

Back to bring you more of their unique high octane Rockabilly that in incites anyone to get up and dance. Once the amps are flicked on and the first beat is struck, hold onto your hats cos' you're in for a hell of a ride.

Bringing a superb mix of rock covers and fronted by the powerful vocals of Jo Webber they’ll getting the late afternoon party up on its feet.
And of course, it’s all for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity

As we build up towards Bearfest 2026 on Sunday 26th July do we really need to remind anyone about our next band, The Hinge?
Chad and Pete who make up this fantastic duo are truly unforgettable. They bring energy, musicianship and whole lot of in your face entertainment. We love them!
A reminder that tickets are £12.50 in advance but £15 on the gate. The forecast is good but not stifling hot which is nice.
Tickets from the bar at The Bear And Ragged Staff Inn or by calling them on the number on the poster below

Good morning you wonderful lot, how are you doing in this heat? Another day closer to Bearfest 2026 and we want to introduce another new band for this year but first we would like to thank everyone at The Bear And Ragged Staff Inn for their continued hospitality for this event. They are of course heavily involved in organising Bearfest, this will be James' and Rowena's first year with us, and we hope you will support the pub too, it's a great asset for the community.

The fourth band on stage will be All Gussied Up. They are uncle-and-nephew duo Rab and Carl Davies. Carl provides lead vocals and acoustic guitar, while Rab adds electric and acoustic guitar, whistles and backing vocals to create a full, varied sound.

Rab has spent over 35 years performing with folk favourites, Gruig, where he also plays banjo, touring across the UK, Ireland and Europe, while Carl is a newer face on the local live music scene. Expect a mix of country, Americana, folk and well-known classics, with plenty of singalongs and a fun, feel-good atmosphere.

Tickets are available from the venue for £12.50 in advance, £15 on the day and, of course, it"s all in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance

All Gussied Up is a duo made up of uncle and nephew Tim (Rab) Davies and Carl Davies. We play the songs we love, Americana, Irish folk, modern country, covers that lean into strong melodies, harmonies, and feeling.

What’s that? What’s Bearfest all about? Well, let us tell you.
Bearfest has been running for over 15 years and has raised well over £60,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Our performers entertain for no charge, the sound and lighting guys, a professional team who spend most of their year on live music theatre tours, provide their gear and expertise at no cost. The stage is provided at a bare minimum price to cover costs, The Bear And Ragged Staff Inn give proceeds to the charity too.
So much work goes on behind the scenes to make this happen, watch our video, is this much work worth your £12.50 entry fee for 8 acts?

Another weekend approaches and it’s only two weeks until Bearfest. With the gorgeous weather in mind what would be better than to pop over to The Bear And Ragged Staff Inn to get you tickets for the 26th July and enjoy a beer or a meal in the beer garden at the same time.
Our third act of the day will be the fantastic Tazmin who has been kind enough to give her time to Bearfest more than once before.
A seasoned performer who brings a bit of Pop to the day.
All in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
