Everyone who voted for their favourite artwork and favourite poem went into our draw. Thanks to the ladies at Lush Worcester for picking the two voting slips 'out of the hat'.

The first painting 'Idyll' goes to Worcester artist Yasmin Agilah.

The second painting 'Complete' goes to Jill Norris who lives in Lancashire and who was visiting Worcester. Coincidentally Jill is also an artist!

COMPLETE ... Introducing The final two of the 20 creatives currently exhibiting in the Poetry & Art Exhibition 'BREATHLESS - BREATHE MORE' at Script Haven in Worcester High Street until 30 June: Martin Driscoll and Susan Birth.

The exhibition features 10 'sub-themes'. Martin's and Susan's sub-theme is COMPLETE.

MARTIN DRISCOLL is the founding director of the Worcestershire Literary Festival & Fringe CIC - Litfest. He is a graphic designer by trade but is drawn to the written and spoken word. He has been published many times over the years in the Flash Fiction anthologies published by Black Pear Press and has been published in several green themed publications. email: [email protected]

SUSAN BIRTH
Susan is a mixed media artist whose intention is to create intriguing artwork. She is one of the resident artists at Bevere Gallery on the edge of Worcester where the artist studios and gallery are open to visitors Tue – Sat, 10 am – 4 pm. She is also painter of penguin for Waddle of Worcester!

CALM ... Introducing two more of the 20 creatives currently exhibiting in the Poetry & Art Exhibition 'BREATHLESS - BREATHE MORE' at Script Haven in Worcester High Street until 30 June: artist Nicola Currie and poet Leena Batchelor.

The exhibition features 10 'sub-themes'. Nicola's and Leena's sub-theme is CALM.

NICOLA CURRIE is an oil painter specialising in still life and floral paintings. She is currently Artist in Residence at Spetchley Park Gardens.

LEENA BATCHELOR - Calling herself a “poetic minstrel with living in her veins”, Leena writes passionately about everything that strikes her mind and heart, hoping her poems offer some meaning to others. Quietly passionate and slightly kookie, Leena finds her inspiration in travel and expansive life experiences. She is the owner of Worcester's independent bookshop, Script Haven.

At the Breathless - Breathe More LAUNCH EVENING on Saturday 15 June visitors will be able to view the artwork and listen to the poets read their work. So why not pop the date in your diary - come along, enjoy the art, the poetry and a glass or two of wine from the bar. Readings start at 7 pm. This event is also the finale of Worcestershire Litfest's week of festival. Thanks also for their support!

MEDITATE... Introducing two more of the 20 creatives who will be exhibiting in the Poetry & Art Exhibition 'BREATHLESS - BREATHE MORE' at Script Haven in Worcester High Street from 15 to 30 June: artist Ella Abel and poet Ade Couper.

The exhibition features 10 'sub-themes'. Cherrie's and Laura's sub-theme is MEDITATE.

CHERRIE MANSFIELD is a former geologist with a sweet tooth and an insatiable passion for colour. She creates bold, captivating artwork that catches the eye and fires the imagination.

LAURA LIPTROT is inspired in her poetry by nature and the workings of the human heart. She aims to both highlight social issues and bring an air of optimism into people's lives.

At the Breathless Breathe More launch evening on Saturday 15 June visitors will be able to view the artwork and listen to the poets reading their work. So why not pop the date in your diary - come along, enjoy the art, the poetry and a glass or two of wine. The readings start at 7 pm.
If you can't make the launch evening the exhibition runs until 30 JUNE.

REST... Introducing two more of the 20 creatives who will be exhibiting in the Poetry & Art Exhibition 'BREATHLESS - BREATHE MORE' at Script Haven in Worcester High Street from 15 to 30 June: artist Ella Abel and poet Ade Couper.

The exhibition features 10 'sub-themes'. Ella's and Ade's sub-theme is REST.

ELLA ABEL is a figurative painter interested in ambiguous relationships. She captures intensely emotional moments that make you question the motives of each character. She occupies one of the studios in Arch 29, The Artery Studios.

Originally from Bedford, ADE COUPER worked in health and social care for several years. His interests include human rights and disability rights. Ade was Worcestershire Poet Laureate 2021/22. His Laureate collection "Made of Stories" is available from Black Pear Press.
