2027 is Vamos Theatre’s 21st birthday year, and to celebrate, the UK’s leading full mask theatre company is retouring its award-winning production, Finding Joy, in February and March 2027. Based on the true experiences of one family and told entirely without spoken words, Finding Joy explores dementia through the eyes of 17-year-old Danny and his gran, Joy. It’s a funny, deeply touching, clever and life-affirming show that’s gained multiple five-star reviews and is completely accessible to deaf audiences without BSL interpretation. ⭐️⭐️ Finding Joy is back!! ⭐️⭐️

To celebrate our 21st birthday year in 2027, we’re delighted to announce that we will be retouring our award-winning, full mask production about dementia, 'Finding Joy', next February and March, followed by international dates.

Tour dates will be finalised and announced in September. In the meanwhile, any confirmed dates will be listed on our Finding Joy show page.

For the last 6 months we have been working with care experience young people from 8 Virtual Schools across the West Midlands, exploring school exclusion as well as celebrating the importance and power of empathy and listening. A week ago we finished filming!!🎉

Just under 2 weeks until our FREE workshop in sunny Devon at The Landmark Theatre.

These FREE tasters are suitable for early career artists aged 18+. Experience Vamos Theatre’s approach to mask theatre, creating physical character and devising non-verbal theatre.

From these nationwide taster workshops, we will select a group of artists to attend a free residency in October 2026, where you’ll receive intensive training and space to create a public performance.
