Shelsley Walsh is the premier speed hill climb venue in the UK with competition weekends and the opportunity to hire the venue for corporate bookings, photo or filming shoots or anything you need. Hill climbing started at Shelsley Walsh in 1905 when the Midland Automobile Club had to find an alternative venue to Sun Rising Hill near Stratford. Since then, and war years apart, the Club has run hill

climbs at Shelsley Walsh ever since, making it the oldest surviving motor sport venue in the world. The hill continues to host the British Hill Climb Championship that sees cars hit 165mph in a thrilling weekend of speed, drama and incredible skill with the opportunity for spectators to get right up close to the action. Cars in the Valley for June returns this Thursday evening at Shelsley Walsh with an open paddock, bar and restaurant where you can enjoy your time amongst friends and cool bikes and cars while having a bite or a drink.

the weather looks good as it warms up towards the weekend too so that’s win all round too.

It’s just £5 per person while it’s free for Midland Automobile Club members so just reserve yourself a space amongst the different, the rare and the loved machinery. Dogs are welcome too as long as they’re on a lead.

May’s CITV was fantastic with an Italian theme and while we don’t have a theme this week, it’s always open to cars just being…different, cool and quirky.

July 4, Bike Bonanza is Shelsley’s pure bike only day with Charley Boorman and Steve Parrish as star guests amongst superbikes, classics and the chance to ride shelsley on your own bike.

July 5, Vintage Day - taking a look back in time at the cars that shaped motorsport history through to 1950.

July 18/19, Classic Nostalgia - the biggest weekend of the summer at Shelsley Walsh with rally cars, classic F1 demos, concours, live music, startline hospitality and a celebration of Richard Burns’ 2001 WRC win.

Here's the fastest ever run up Shelsley Walsh with Will Hall taking 4/100ths off the outright record with a staggering run of 22.33 seconds up the world's oldest motorsport venue. 137mph on Ess Approach and 145mph over the finish line sealed his place in the history books!

Will is continuing to lead this year's British Hill Climb Championship after ten rounds in his 680hp Gould GR59 V8 Judd with Matthew Ryder close on his tail with his similar Gould.

What an experience for everyone who was there to see it - make sure you're trackside over the weekend of August 8 + 9 to see the British title chase return to Worcestershire!

Another part of Shelsley Walsh history has been written today with a brand new outright hill record being set, this time to Will Hall in his Gould GR59 V8 Judd with a stellar time of 22.33 seconds as well as a double Top 12 Run Off victory to extend his lead in the British Hill Climb Championship after 10 rounds of the 2026 title chase.

The first Run Off was truly fantastic with all drivers pushing their cars to the absolute limits in search of glory on the world famous hill here at Shelsley Walsh but it was Hall who had the last word.

When the British Championship returns here on August 8 + 9, expect the rivalries to be reignited and the speeds to be upped further! Make sure you’re trackside to see what F1 speeds look like up a country lane here in Worcestershire - keep in touch.
