Happy Steps

Happy Steps Children are encouraged to have fun and enjoy dance classes building dance movements and confidence. Children love to move.

Happy Steps was established in 2006 and can be found in halls and centres throughout the county. Running, jumping, skipping and turning. In structured classes they can enhance their movement, feel good about them selves and develop their minds, confidence and co-ordination. Children are learning all the time and in these early years most of their learning is connected to movement. Classes enable c

hildren to develop their love of dance within a fun environment. There are no exams, just fun class building dance steps and movement in the forms of ballet, tap and modern dance. All classes are taught by qualified and CRB checked dance teachers, recognised by the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Though Happy Steps was first created for pre-school children there is the chance for the children to carry on their Happy Steps experience through the Academy and after school classes. In the after school Steps Academy the children learn the skills and steps involved in Ballet, Jazz and Tap Dancing. As they develop there is the chance for them to do Musical Theatre, Drama, Singing, Street Jazz and Free Style. The older children have the chance to take part in the Christmas Show, Choreographic Show as well as the annual Happy Steps Show.
