Principal- Kara Wilkinson
Kara is an experienced dancer and fully qualified teacher. Her background in dance started at an early age and consists of Tap, Ballet, Modern, Irish dance (light and heavy shoe), Acrobatics, Gymnastics, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary and Street Dance. In her past performances Kara auditioned and performed on “Dance Rebels: A Story of Modern Dance” that was aired on the BBC in December 2015. She has also been involved in the Performances at the Nightingale theatre as part of a festival to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Concentration Camp. BRHOLD: Under the Influence, presented by Nicki Jackowska. Kara was also selected to perform at the LG Arena to support Diversity, the past winners of Britain’s Got Talent. Kara received a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Dance in 2015, graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the UK’s leading contemporary school. Kara is an Associate of IDTA and was awarded at Distinction level, furthermore Kara attended Birmingham City University to gain a Post Graduate degree – PGCE PCET, specialising in dance, and is qualified to teach in the post-compulsory education and training sector which includes sixth form colleges, further education colleges, vocational training and adult education.
