This guy, along with a few of my other textile pieces will be on sale over the next 3days at the Speak Volumes Festival. Each one is completely unique, they take a lot of hours to make and for this Festival they are discounted at £45 and below! Come on down to Arch 28 (The Artery) Worcester

Some work doesn’t work. I was never able to fully connect with the original piece and moving to a new home and new (slightly smaller) studio last year, I had to consider what to take with me.

Thankfully the texture of the old has added something to the new! The stages have led the work in some interesting directions.

Hello to new people and big love to my small (but perfectly formed) group of followers. Please know your chats, likes and shares mean the world.

I am Laura, an artist based in Worcester, UK.

My intention is to make art consistently and put more of it out there for you to see. I will also try and put my face out there occasionally too!

Join me for work in progress, creative process, painting, stitching and quite possibly panicking about being an artist, whilst having a family and job and how to navigate it all. Let’s see what happens, shall we?

Another piece completed. This one a big part of my recovery and recuperation. I am so thankful that my brain is allowing me to do something creative whilst all of my other capacity seems to be taken up with the healing process. Reading books is impossible, podcasts and clever telly just make me tired but a background fuzz of old tv shows, with my hands stitching away has been getting me through this first week post surgery.
