We are really excited to be hosting Ant Stones for our next Shire Stories workshop. Taking place on Wednesday 10th June at The Swan Theatre in Worcester. Ant Stones is a Director, Writer and Producer from Hereford in the West Midlands. He is a graduate of the Birkbeck MFA in Theatre Directing and The Royal Court’s Young Writer’s Programme. He is the former Associate Playwright for Guildford Shakespeare Company. In 2025 he set up Lost Cause, a new theatre company to champion unheard voices in the Midlands. His workshop will be about taking performances into non traditional spaces and is a fantastic addition to our workshop series. Steve is getting ready for his writing workshop as part of The Rik Mayall Comedy Festival.
His workshop Now That's What I Call a Character is aimed at writers and performers alike who want to create great characters for their comedy. You don't need to have lots of experience but a knowledge and love of comedy helps! We had a fantastic year in 2025 and so are excited to be asked back.

Crave Arts would like to give our love and condolences to the family and friends of Olivia Levez who very sadly died this week. Olivia attended our writing classes at Take Part - Malvern Theatres and was a total joy to teach and support. She was a successful published author who wanted to give playwriting a go. She was wonderful to 'teach'. Funny, generous, talented and warm with praise for others. We kept in touch and she was hoping to come back to class and we were so sad to hear the news. Rest in peace. Steve and Debbie.
