Ocular Force Theatre Company presents:
[IN]habitants
“Everything has been figured out, except how to live.”
― Jean-Paul Sartre
[IN]habitants is a physically charged and visually striking performance exploring the sense of isolation within a world full of digital rhythms and meaningless routines. Trapped in the cycle of the day-to-day, can we escape from the desert of the real?
The [IN]habitants are confined to their seamlessly meaningless routines and endeavors to fit in, to please, to connect. The characters use desperate physicality and analogue phones to communicate with each other, while fragmented thoughts aimlessly reverberate in the void of their existence. Their routine is interrupted when a new inhabitant joins the endless cycle, and it becomes apparent that not everything is as it seems, and that there might be a fragment left from what was before...
Blending dark humour with vivacious physicality, [IN]habitants invites audiences into the performers’ world of visceral soundscapes, fragmented thoughts and disjointed playlists.
