Worcester Arts Collective would like to invite you to the first major exhibition to be held in the White Room at No.8 College Yard, Worcester, comprising 1 work a week for 40 weeks of original pieces of art from WAC resident artists and invited guests to fit in an A1 area.

The project is a follow-up to the 2025 project ‘REVOLVE’ and has run on the same premise – to encourage exploration and experimentation within the artists' practice. Many different themes and ideas have been explored in a variety of media. The resultant works are a fascinating insight into how each artist works and sees the world.

A huge thank you to Chris Russell for bringing together the Refugee Week, and particularly this weekends events at Worcester Cathedral.

What made the day so special was the spirit of collaboration. Multiple organisations all came together with a shared desire to create a welcoming, free event for our city, celebrating the stories and cultures that refugees and asylum seekers bring to our community.

The event was attended by people from across Worcester and beyond, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with conversation, creativity, poetry, and friendship. It was wonderful to see so many people connecting and laughing with one another.

We were delighted to be involved not only through Chris but also Steph Green's puppet-making workshop, where families and children enjoyed getting creative together and bringing shadow characters to life.

Events like this remind us that community is built when people choose to work together. Thank you, Chris, for your vision, leadership and commitment to making Worcester a place where everyone belongs.

WAC member Gabe spent the 29th, 30th and 31st of May conjuring up 5 minute 'Speedy Portraits' at !

He writes: "I had such a great time meeting so many new people, drawing them in a loose style while having incredible conversations. It was my first time doing live portraiture, I really learnt a lot- and I'm definitely itching to do it again!"

We are lpleased to announce our very talented member Gabe.G Taylor is debuting his 'Clothed Life Drawing' session at WAC on Thursday the 11th of June, from 6-8pm!

Tickets are £18 each, and include 2 hours with a live model dressed in interesting clothing, and a selection of materials to draw with (though you can use you own!)
