A quick update re ukes at The Angel.

I am sure that those who attended will agree that we all thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated last weeks session that was led by Peter and Jan . We would all like to express our thanks to them both. The songbook is great .

Last evenings group session followed a very productive 45 minutes with Victor, who has joined us recently. It was wonderful to be amongst friends , playing music together and having fun.

As part of a weekly risk assessment we talked about the current local and national Covid situation . We all agreed that until those of us who fall into the age / risk category for receiving a booster jab have had it, and in order to reduce risk to us all, we would suspend sessions for now .

We have been made very welcome at The Angel and hope to be back as soon as we can.

We will review the situation weekly and we aim to keep all informed of any changes in that decision using Facebook .

All being well , we ( + ukes ) all hope to make music again in the not too distant future! Keep practising!

All being well, its the intention to re start weekly uke sessions , subject to ongoing risk assessments .


Please note how things would change from how they were before Covid .


Sessions would be socially distanced, keeping the room ventilated

You would provide and use your own hand sanitiser and wipes etc


Your decision whether to wear a mask or not would determine seating arrangements


We would be covid testing ourselves before coming to the session and strongly encourage those attending the group to do the same .


We appreciate that the current challenges re Covid will impact on your decision whether to accept or decline the invitation to come along to The Angel Inn on Wednesday 1st September at 6.45 pm


We totally understand if you feel that the sessions aren’t for you at present .


To those who take the decision to join us we look forward to seeing you at The Angel Inn where you will receive a warm welcome.
