Made by Gillian Bluegrass Designs is my design company concentrating on creating affordable contemporary jewellery pieces for both adults and children. Welcome to my page.

I am a fully qualified silversmith, graduating from Loughborough university in 2012 with BA(hons). The name Bluegrass Designs comes from my love of the 1950's and music. Bluegrass is a musical movement that generates from that era and I thought it would be a perfect name for my designs. I do not, however, use this name when I am exhibiting my pieces, so if you're out at galleries and see work by 'Gillian Hawkes' then that will be by myself also. I do do bespoke pieces, commissions and repairs, so there is no need to throw out that beloved item of jewellery you may have due to a break.
