Meet the Kalahari Kats of Tropical Wings Zoo. These cute creatures hail from the continent of Africa and can be found roaming the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, the Namib Desert in Namibia and southwestern Angola, and South Africa. The meerkats have been settled at Zoo since 2007, and there are currently 18 members of the Tropical Wings 'gang', with Kalahari and Timon taking on the roles of mum and

dad. Resident nosey-parker Zalika is the gang's lookout 'kat. He spends his days sitting at the highest point of the enclosure watching the world go by. If this gang of Kalahari Kats lived in the wild, Zalika would be on the lookout for danger such as birds of prey and wild dogs - but at Tropical Wings the only thing Zalika is looking out for is gossip!
